New Work for Fundraiser Show at Columbus Museum

For their annual art show and sale fundraiser Let There Be Art, the Columbus Museum invited select local and regional artists to create an original work, especially for the event, either directly on or affixed to a 10×10″ gesso board. My work, Stairs, Door, Windows, Wall, 2016 is a photomontage, combining four separate captures, all found within a few hundred feet of my office, off Broadway in Columbus, Ga. The first image in this slideshow was sold at the event to benefit the education program at the museum; the other two were created at the same time, and all were printed with pigment ink on cotton rag paper at 10×10″. Note the old door, a recurring element. I am considering a series based on this concept.
